WEC Brazil will be holding the first Adult MK Encounter, for MKs aged 16 years and up, July 30- August 1. The theme is 'Identity', with speakers Richard McAllistar from Australia, João Marcos Sousa and Vera Maia covering sub themes on identity, choices, sexuality, intimacy with God.

Guinea Bissau 70th Anniversary |
|
This year is the 70th anniversary of the church, now with 30,000 believers (just the WEC denomination). Many may be children, but about half are baptized adults. The church has about one hundred pastors. They run the Bible School, so in some ways, if WEC are went to another unreached place, the church here wouldn't die, it would grow; but, we want to work with them to help them have this vision for all unreached peoples. Sharing the love of Christ with Muslims is a new thing for many.

Cornerstone College, The Netherlands |
|
"20 Years of Cornerstone in Beugen".
The whole event had been saturated in prayer and we had a sense of God's blessing over us as about 200 people came through our doors. Local people shared their memories and insights on our building (former convent and school). Exhibitions of "Cornerstone Past and Present" attracted searching questions and significant conversations. We heard the amazing story of God's leading and provision of the property.People were visibly moved and the Lord Jesus glorified.
Please pray with us that the glimpses we have seen of the Holy Spirit at work in a number of local people's lives, may become visible evidence of living faith. We are conscious that we are building on the prayers and witness of many who have lived here over the past 20 years.
Graduation and New Students
On July 10th twenty two students graduate. Pray for them as they move forward into God's mission purposes.
To date we only have 13 students accepted for the new college year. Another 6 are in the application process, some with financial challenges. We need at least 20 new students, though our faith goal is 25. Humanly speaking it seems too late to reach this. But God...

Gambia needs Nurse Trainer |
|
Sibanor as an AIDS hospital is being effective, but they sadly miss their nurse trainer. Pray for a new Nurse Trainer so they can reopen the course and ensure continuity of staff.

The El Monte training centre is under threat. Neighbours who threatened to steal the land over 2 years ago have returned with a court summons. The deed in El Monte hands is perfectly legal and certified by the government.
Pray for justice - that this will be resolved quickly, thoroughly and permanently. Pray also for provision for the substantial legal fees that will be incurred.

A major decision made at US annual conference was to go ahead with their expansion project. This is an ongoing prayer request for the USA.
God's choice for new leaders for the next triennium is another major prayer request, along with other personnel needs (accountant, IT person, Trek staff).

Preparing new workers in Mexico |
|
Five new students at the Cross-Cultural Training centre would value prayer for strength as they prepare for future service. Pray for continual opportunities to network in Mexico City regarding possible future candidates for the CCT.
