WEC is hoping for this new-start-new-team to be ready for the end of 2009 or beginning of 2010.
There are currently 3 people in preparation, with others showing an interest.
Pre-field training and preparation... the flame needs to be fuelled by reading books, attending seminars & courses on Islam and ministry
amongst Muslims.
Because of political instability in Guinea, the team will live in the Fuladou region of south-east Senegal after French language study.
The team can expect: A full orientation package Pulaar language & culture studies for 1-2 years. To live in basic conditions in a pioneer situation. To make visits to Guinea to keep the flame alive & to build bridges. To be mentored in language learning, culture, team building and church planting strategies. To spend time learning from experienced Fula Christian leaders. To initially be part of the WEC Senegal Field family.
Future developments: The new team will develop team vision, strategies and goals together, in collaboration with experienced missionaries & national Christian leaders.
